Inspiration?
Wow, there's is little to nothing to post. That's something to write about, how there's nothing to write about. Maybe I can drum something up.
I have two and half weeks off form the holidays. What do I have planned for it? Nothing. I've tried to make little lists of thing to do, list of things to keep me occupied: play guitar, study Korean, write friends. These lists get ignored. It's funny how having nothing to do can be so time consuming.
The week before vacation was the last week to get grades in, finals for university were due and there constant meetings for winter camp. Now there is more of nothing.
Kat left to go back back home for a bit. Seeing as how going back home costs about as much as tuition I opted out. In her absence I have been watching war movies. She doesn't dig on war movies very much. Something about how she doesn't need to be reminded about how cruel people can be to each other. For some reason I feel the keen desire to be reminded of this. A lot of my viewing and reading preferences seem to be centered around history's atrocities. My slight obsession with the worst aspects of nations and individuals slightly worries me. Maybe I should concentrate on things that are slightly happier, like present day affairs. Damn, that doesn't help at all either.
I gave some odd Christmas presents this year: a party pack of Guinness, seven pounds of bacon, a mock voodoo doll. I can only imagine the wise men bearing these gifts.
The Grinch That Stole Christmas (the real one, not the horrific live action movie) is a wonderful show that spans cultures and times. My Korean third graders watched this show from 1967 in which they could barely understand a word. They loved it.
I'll write more when there's less to write about.
